The NWB Rules

  • Conservation of our precious resources is at the top of our priorities anybody showing otherwise will be disqualified. ( Respect nature );
  • Always fish within the MNR and fish and wildlife regulations;
  • You are responsible to know the fishing laws and regulations before going to any body of water;
  • You are responsible to follow all municipal, provincial, and federal laws that apply. ( ignorance is not an excuse );
  • Fishing will only be permitted half an hour after sunrise and half an hour before sunset for video quality reasons to verify your catch;
  • All events will last two days Saturday and Sunday;
  • Pictures/videos submitted must have the original date and time;
  • Setting for time and date must be turned on and visible. ( photo and video );
  • Fish must swim away alive and healthy to qualify ( or sink and swim in the livewell for tournament anglers ) ( no belly up fizz your fish );
  • All dead fish will not qualify;
  • ConnectScale GPS must be turned on to verify your catch ( only the tournament director will see data and data will be kept highly confidential );
  • ConnectScale must be used to weigh any and all fish;
  • No live bait will be permitted only artificial lures will be allowed;
  • Trolling will not be allowed for all Bassmania divisions ( CAD/USA );
  • Trolling will be allowed for the Walleyemania division  ( CAN/AM Nationwide Walleyemania );
  • Deep fish to be fizzed and able to swim away or sink in the live well ( no belly up will be tolerated) to be eligible to qualify for the prize;
  • No prizes will be awarded to dead fish;
  • Weight clips will not be allowed to any livewell fish or released fish strictly prohibited, fizzing is the only technique allowed to treat barothrama;
  • All motorized vehicles used while under the tournament hours as to be in legal and safe operating conditions and I understand that it is my full responsibility to do so;

  • When under the power of your main engine anglers must wear their live jackets and the driver must have a kill switch cord attached to their person ( if one is equipped with one) if no kill switch was originally installed by the manufacturer this rule does not apply;
  • You may only win one big fish prize per event;
  • If an angler is found to be trying to scale a fish outside the hours of the tournament angler will be disqualified and banned for EVER;
  • Fishing time allowed is half an hour after sunrise and half an hour before sunset;
  • The tournament director has total authorization over the entire tournament, weight-in, and video/pictures validation procedure;
  • Fish will only be allowed to be logged in once ( NEVER log the same fish twice );
  • Prizes shall be awarded on a pure weight basis all prizes are awarded as a top 10 payout;
  • In the event of a tie, the tying position will be split equally to both anglers;
  • Please be respectful of all land owners, other boaters, other anglers, swimmers, no wake zones, fishing sanctuaries, and all LAWS that apply. ( have respect for your surroundings );
  • Prizes will be awarded in cheques and mailed to the participants ( e-transfers or direct deposit are also a possibility );
  • Anglers must possess valid fishing licenses for the region one is using;
  • ConnectScale MUST be used with the app to log fish on a live leaderboard;
  • Every angler must sign a waiver to compete in any Nationwide Bassmania events;
  • Landing nets are allowed;
  • Largemouth bass and smallmouth bass only in any Nationwide Bassmania division;
  • Walleye only in any Nationwide Walleyemania division;
  • Fish must be caught on a hook/line combo.  Any other means of catching fish will be considered illegal and will lead to disqualification;
  • Snagging of a fish is strictly prohibited;
  • The prize pool will be paid out weekly to the top 10 finishers to a maximum of 1 million dollars first place only then would we pay lower than the top 10. The idea is to create the biggest prize pool for a 1 fish tournament in the history of bass/walleye fishing;
  • You are responsible for providing your own ConnectScale scale and video recording devices;
  • All times of events are in Eastern Standard Time;
  • Photo has to be taken on the ConnectScale app at the time of the catch and weight process;
  • It’s your responsibility to claim your prize by sending video files and pictures to the tournament director by email if you are in the top 10 in any division ( Monday 5 pm is the deadline to send video/pictures to the tournament director);
  • All tournament registration will be cut off every Friday at 5 pm;
  • USA anglers will have to produce their SIN numbers to collect prizes over 600.00$ ( SIN numbers will be collected only when anglers are in the top 10 or if collecting draw prizes ) If SIN numbers cannot be produced prizes will not be awarded to anglers;
  • No dead fish may be released, the release of a dead fish in the water is strictly prohibited. Dead fish must be disposed of properly. We recommend that any dead fish should be consumed ( eaten ) or given to someone who will consume it instead of wasting our precious resources;
  • Fish must be within legal slot size/length (keeper) to qualify for a prize or payout;
  • Nationwide Bassmania Membership gives anglers access to all the divisions;
  • I understand that it is my full responsibility to register and fish within the proper limit of your division failure to do so will result in disqualification; 
  • ConnectScale GPS will be used to confirm that the angler caught the fish in the respected division water. USA Northern Division, USA Southern Division, Canadian Division, International Walleye Division;
  • If a slot size exemption permit is required anglers need to have in their possession the valid permit to be able to release fish in Livewell ( tournament anglers ). If anglers do not possess proper permits fish must be released immediately after the procedure has been completed.
